I have worked with conventional cat litters for many years and did not realize their major flaw until I started to pay close attention to cat owners and breeders. Here, I found out their main concern was the amount of health problems associated with conventional cat litters.
I would hear about infections caused by perfumes, detergents, and other chemicals found in common cat litters. Another issue was dust and an inability to control bad odours due to the vast amount of fillers and small stones - a trick used to increase weight and thereby sell litter at a lower cost.
That's when I decided to develop a litter geared to the health and hygiene of cats. Being a cat lover myself, it was clear to turn to an ORGANIC product. In 2007, I met with a group of specialists who helped create CATSENS, a litter known worldwide for its organic certification.
CATSENS is now being offered in stores across North America and other selected countries. Our manufacturing company is located in Canada.
